19 Jun The study visit in Palermo – 10 and 11 May 2023
Two days of study visits in Palermo to learn about the experiences of social inclusion, aimed in particular at young people. On the first day, at the Gallery of Modern Art, the partnership met the representatives of the Municipality of Palermo (instruction and social welfare area), together with CGIL (Provincial Secretariat) and the School Office for Sicily. The first day was also enlivened by a round table where the opportunities and challenges related to the collaboration between institutional and non-institutional actors involved in the fight against early school leaving and in strengthening services aimed at young people were discussed.
During the second day, the area of the cultural sites of the Zisa was visited, affected by a large urban regeneration project, followed by a visit to the Antonio Ugo school in Palermo, where the partners met the staff who animate the educational community, collaborating with families and the neighborhood.
